• Regional Sales Manager – West Region

    Regional Sales Manager West Region (Commercial Sales Division) – Remote in Houston, Dallas, Denver, or SLC area:

    SUMMARY: Manages day-to-day sales responsibilities, 5-6 Industrial Account Managers, and 2-3 Sales Engineers for the assigned region; reporting to the Director of US Industrial Sales. This role is open due to the restructuring of the sales team.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Oversee region responsibility and ensure that the Industrial Account Managers and internal sales personnel assigned to his/her regions are regularly following up on quotes, sample requests, correspondence, and other leads directed to their respective territories.
    • Drive strategic growth by proactively building and managing a robust pipeline of new opportunities, converting high-potential prospects into revenue, and executing targeted initiatives that accelerate market expansion and deliver sustained business results.
    • Achieve year-over-year growth of at least 6% by consistently expanding market share, deepening customer relationships, and delivering measurable revenue results aligned with strategic business objectives.
    • Geographical areas to include: WA, OR, CA, NV, ID, UT, AZ, NM, CO, WY, MT, NE, KS, OK, TX, AK, HI.
    • Responsible for annual evaluation of each Industrial Account Manager and Sales Engineer within their assigned territory and addressing any performance issues.  This could include the replacement of and hiring of new sales staff.
    • Development of annual forecast and sales goal/objectives for the territory.  Responsible for reviewing the performance and the company on a quarterly basis.
    • Travels 50% throughout the region, maintaining and expanding the customer base through joint customer visits and counseling the Industrial Account Managers; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
    • Develops and remains up to date with corporate product knowledge, enabling the ability to demonstrate simple and communicated salable features of products to both customers and Industrial Sales Managers.
    • Advises and assists the sales team on quote pricing, lead-times, and credit terms based on knowledge of the company’s internal production and delivery schedules.
    • Collaborate with IAM’s, engineering, internal departments, and customers on large new custom projects. 
    • Understand our new product offerings, as developed by the Marketing Communications Department.
    • Prepares and distributes travel itineraries for the region and submits related expense reports on a monthly basis.
    • Responsible for all new employee onboarding.

     

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of progressive outside sales experience, including at least two years in a leadership or regional management capacity. Experience selling to OEMs of industrial products is preferred, and familiarity with rubber, polymer, and/or vinyl products is a plus. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of leading and developing sales teams, driving growth across multi-state territories, and managing annual sales exceeding $10 million. Demonstrated ability to execute strategic sales plans, build and sustain customer relationships, and deliver consistent year-over-year revenue growth is strongly preferred.
