    Performance Manager (Investment Data Analyst/Manager) – this role is an On-Site role:
    New York, NY
    Compensation: up to $175k base plus bonus (40-80% of base salary)

     

    Our client is a well-respected $20-plus billion global equity investment management firm with offices in New York and London, established in 2003. The NYC team seeks a skilled data and performance analyst/manager with extensive experience working with global equities and long-term investment strategies. This key role reports directly to the COO.

    Key Responsibilities of the Performance Manager

    • Create and manage performance reporting, risk analysis and reporting, attribution, characteristics, model portfolio simulation, and statistical analysis.
    • Assist in developing and standardizing performance analytics for portfolios and GIPS composites (including assisting with the external verification examiners).
    • Build attribution reporting aligned with investment team strategies, including risk-based attribution and ex-ante risk analysis (simulation).
    • Maintain screening tools to identify the investable universe based on parameters set by the investment team.
    • Develop analytics for marketing and client service teams (characteristics, risk exposures, performance drivers, and detractors aligned with investment outlook).
    • Enable broader risk analytics for investment strategies, including liquidity, country risk, and volatility reporting
    • Promptly respond to inquiries across all levels of the organization
    • Learn, manage, and optimize the firm’s research and data systems, including evaluating off-the-shelf platforms and other customizable tools.
    • Streamline workflows and help design new processes through automation, system enhancements, and integration of advanced tools as needed.

     

     

     

    Qualifications of the Performance Manager

    • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the investment management industry, including experience in global equities, investment performance calculation, data analytics, and reporting.
    • Deep expertise in quantitative investment performance analysis and reporting standards (e.g., GIPS, SEC, etc.).
    • Advanced proficiency with Excel and FactSet (required); ability to extract, analyze, and present data in charts, graphs, and tables.
    • Experience with broader data platforms, utilizing AI and programming languages, is a plus.
    • A broad understanding of investment strategies, products, and asset classes, and how returns are calculated and evaluated.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • BS/BA in Business, Finance, or related field.
    • Computer science or technical background preferred.
    • Creative mindset with the ability to streamline existing workflows and design new ones.
    • Energetic, enthusiastic personality with the ability to adapt, innovate, and be intellectually curious.

    A leading Property and Casualty insurer in the Northeast is seeking an Adjuster – Specialty Casualty Claims to join its Claims Legal Group located in Buffalo, New York.

    The Adjuster – Specialty Casualty Claims will become part of a dedicated team providing high-level technical expertise in handling commercial umbrella, excess liability, multi-party catastrophic injury, property damage, and construction defect claims.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Cultivating relationships with internal claims staff, policyholders, attorneys, agents, and various service providers while working toward optimal outcomes for the organization and policyholders.
    • Providing high-level technical expertise in the handling of complex and high-exposure liability and extra-contractual claims.
    • Managing a pending inventory of complex, high-exposure claims including commercial umbrella, excess liability, multi-party catastrophic injury, property damage, and construction defect claims.
    • Staying current on case law developments, statutory changes, and regulatory updates impacting liability claims and coverage interpretation.
    • Serving as a training and informational resource for casualty and litigation claim representatives and claim management.
    • Managing assigned high-exposure claims through full disposition, including investigation, litigation management, evaluation, settlement authority procurement, negotiation, risk transfer and coverage guidance, and Large Loss Committee presentations.
    • Ensuring proper reinsurance reporting and communication.
    • Supporting training and development of claim staff through informal knowledge transfer and formal training activities.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • 4-year degree or equivalent work-related experience.
    • 5+ years of complex, high-exposure claim handling experience.
    • Strong training and coaching abilities.
    • Advanced policy interpretation and coverage analysis skills.
    • Familiarity with various regulatory and judicial venues.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Collaborative mindset in developing and executing complex resolution strategies.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document imaging systems.

    Compensation A competitive pay scale is offered. The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000 – $115,000, based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and comprehensive benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
