ComputerPeople Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a highly respected financial services organization seeking an experienced Senior Java Web Application Developer to join its Client Account Technology team. In this role, you’ll help develop and support the core account management platform that powers customer onboarding, account servicing, and account maintenance for millions of users. You’ll work on high-performance, scalable applications while collaborating with an experienced development team throughout the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications supporting online brokerage services.
Develop and support large-scale, multi-tier web applications used for customer registration and account management.
Design, develop, and support Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL packages, and scheduled batch processing.
Develop Java-based applications and services using modern frameworks and best practices.
Participate in application architecture, code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code while following established development standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of professional web application development experience.
Strong knowledge of Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Oracle Database, and PL/SQL.
Experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
Experience developing Single Page Applications (SPA) using Angular and/or Vue.js.
Strong front-end development skills, including HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and component-based architecture.
Experience using Bitbucket and Gerrit for source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
Hands-on experience with Gradle, including dependency management, multi-project builds, and build automation.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools.
Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
