Position Overview
This role provides strategic and operational leadership across:
- Enterprise infrastructure (on-prem and cloud)
- Networking, compute, and telecommunications
- End user computing and modern workplace platforms
- Service Desk and tiered support functions
You will lead technical teams through infrastructure modernization, endpoint standardization, cloud adoption, and service optimization while ensuring high availability, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Oversee enterprise-wide infrastructure services, including on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Provide leadership for network services, compute platforms, virtualization, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Manage voice, telecommunications, and unified communications systems.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Partner with Information Security to ensure compliance with patching, hardening, and remediation standards.
- Lead infrastructure planning, lifecycle management, and refresh initiatives.
End User Computing & Modern Workplace
- Direct the enterprise end-user computing environment, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Own endpoint lifecycle management, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and asset management.
- Drive adoption, optimization, and support of Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, collaboration tools).
- Lead initiatives related to:
- Windows Autopilot deployments
- Migration to cloud-based MDM and policy management
- Endpoint security and patch compliance
- Ensure consistent, scalable, and secure user experiences across all locations.
Service Desk & Support Leadership
- Provide oversight for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support operations.
- Ensure effective onboarding and ongoing end-user support for hardware, software, and collaboration tools.
- Lead service improvement initiatives using data, metrics, and customer feedback.
- Ensure strong coordination between Service Desk, Infrastructure, Network, and EUC teams.
Leadership, Strategy & Governance
- Lead and develop managers and technical teams supporting infrastructure, EUC, and service operations.
- Establish and track KPIs to drive service quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to infrastructure and end-user computing strategy and multi-year roadmap.
- Align technology initiatives with organizational scalability, risk management, and digital transformation goals.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance.
- Monitor and report on IT risks, controls, and compliance related to infrastructure and end-user services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership roles in infrastructure and end-user computing.
- 5+ years leading technical teams in complex, multi-site enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Networking and infrastructure services
- Virtualization and compute environments
- End user computing and endpoint management
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Proven ability to lead infrastructure and workplace transformation initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Experience in regulated or highly structured industries.
- Hands-on familiarity with Windows Autopilot, Intune, and enterprise patching solutions.
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems and unified communications platforms.
- Demonstrated success in vendor management and contract negotiations.
