Our client is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support a large-scale Agile Release Train (ART) environment. This is an 11+ month W2 contract opportunity with a hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence in Buffalo, NY.
Compensation
- $70–$85+ per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide servant leadership and coaching to a program-level Agile Release Train (ART) composed of multiple cross-functional Agile teams.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate key ART ceremonies, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, and Retrospectives.
- Partner with Senior Product Owners to manage and prioritize the program backlog, oversee intake of work, and coordinate distribution across ART teams.
- Drive transparency and predictability through program-level metrics, dashboards, reporting, and forecasting.
- Identify, manage, and help remove risks, dependencies, and impediments to ensure alignment and delivery across the program.
- Lead, mentor, and support 4–10 Scrum Masters within the ART.
- Coach Agile best practices and influence leaders and stakeholders in the adoption of Agile principles at scale.
- Collaborate with peer RTEs to continuously optimize delivery processes using performance metrics and outcomes.
- Participate in Agile Communities of Practice and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to organizational risk, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to drive results in a complex, scaled Agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across teams, programs, and senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience with Agile metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven success coaching Scrum Masters and facilitating Agile ceremonies at scale.
- Metric-driven approach to program and delivery management.
- Financial services or banking experience is a plus.
