About The IT QA Testing Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced IT QA Testing Manager to establish and maintain robust software testing policies, procedures, and best practices across the IT organization as our client migrates to a new ERP platform. This Quality Assurance Testing Manager position offers the opportunity to lead an offshore IT testing team while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in a fully remote work environment.

As IT QA Testing Manager, you’ll provide testing leadership while implementing strategic initiatives for future testing scalability including automated testing strategies. This role is ideal for a leader with strong technical testing expertise ready to drive best practices while maintaining rigorous compliance standards across the manufacturing systems landscape.

Responsibilities:

Policy & Process Development:

• Create and maintain IT software testing policies, procedures, and standards
• Define and enforce best practices for test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management
• Implement governance framework to ensure teams follow established testing protocols

Testing Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead IT testing resources, including offshore teams and managed services vendors
• Provide guidance to IT Testers, Project Managers, Developers, and Systems Analysts on proper testing protocols
• Oversee UAT planning and execution, ensuring quality and compliance
• Train project stakeholders and team members on validation and testing best practices

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment:

• Ensure testing processes meet compliance and audit requirements for 21 CFR Part 820, GxP, and CSV throughout SDLC
• Work with QA Governance leadership to support transition initiatives from CSV to CSA frameworks
• Collaborate with Enterprise Quality and site quality teams on validated systems testing
• Review and approve validation documentation including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, test scripts, and traceability matrices

Technical Expertise & Strategic Planning:

• Lead planning, development, and execution of test strategies for IT systems supporting manufacturing operations
• Manage testing for ERP systems, SaaS applications, and manufacturing systems
• Create strategy and drive adoption of automation and performance testing tools and methodologies
• Lead adoption of Tricentis suite (Tosca, qTest, NeoLoad) once implemented (~18 months away)
• Develop comprehensive QA roadmap to support ERP implementation and digital transformation
• Provide regular status updates, QA metrics, and test coverage reports to stakeholders

Must-Have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Hands-on experience in IT systems software testing
• 7+ years of experience in IT Quality Assurance
• Proven experience leading IT testing teams and managing offshore resources
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing best practices
• Strong experience in test automation and performance testing in order to direct future strategies
• Proven ability to develop test strategies, roadmaps, and implement QA programs
• Large enterprise or global company experience
• Excellent communication, documentation, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to train, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams on QA best practices

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience in manufacturing or highly regulated environments (ISO, FDA, SOX, HIPAA, etc.)
• Familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ testing protocols for validated systems
• Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) and Computer Software Assurance (CSA) frameworks
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), MES, SaaS applications, or manufacturing systems
