The Systems Engineer is responsible for contributing to the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our client’s technology infrastructure through the appropriate operation of relevant technologies including, but not limited to those outlined below.

  • Participate in internal service desk following ITIL framework
  • Assist with tier-3 IT support tickets which have been escalated to engineering
  • Create and maintain software packages using modern application delivery methodology
  • Manage physical endpoints, virtual endpoints, and operating system deployments using modern endpoint management methodology
  • Follow change management, problem management, and asset management processes
  • Maintain system and process documentation within appropriate knowledge base
  • Standardize and automate system and support processes
  • Troubleshoot and manage issues related to application deployments and system updates
  • Troubleshoot and manage issues related to identities, systems access accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions
  • Troubleshoot and manage issues related to calling and conference devices
  • Remediate system vulnerabilities
  • Communicate with stakeholders to determine system update schedule for version, security, and feature set updates

 

Requirements:

 

  • Associates Degree or higher in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration or related field or equivalent applicable work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of highly relevant Microsoft engineering and/or support experience.
  • Microsoft Certification or certification level knowledge for Microsoft 365 Associate level.
  • Ability to install, configure and maintain a variety of Microsoft systems and software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft Intune, Windows Server, Apps for Business, Office 365, and Azure.
  • Ability to install, configure and maintain a variety of Microsoft systems and software.
  • Established record of using modern application delivery and endpoint management methodologies within Microsoft Intune (Intune, Autopilot, and Configuration Manger).
  • Strong knowledge of internal collaboration and communication solutions using Teams and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to work with or within a team in the design, deployment, and support of infrastructure systems focused best practices and standardized processes.
  • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to and implement changes quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel and communicate clearly and effectively with vendors, and peers strong attention to detail and solid follow-up capabilities.
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours and participate in an on-call rotation to resolve issues or maintain systems as required.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability and eagerness to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • Some inter-office travel may be required.
