Senior Lead Management Reporting Analyst

 

As part of the Financial Systems Support and Data Enrichment team within Finance, responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the development, implementation, testing, documentation, and on-going validation of financial reporting and data processes, and the integration of that data into financial and regulatory reporting applications
  • Creating and managing processes used to develop system interfaces, hierarchies, translations, and other control information in our foundational financial systems
  • Working both independently and as a lead for cross-functional teams to perform business, data, and application analysis to gather and document business requirements on a variety of enterprise-wide reporting needs and strategic project initiatives

General Job Requirements:

  • Translate client requirements to technical specifications, and works with technical team to design, test, and implement projects
  • Able to manage interests of multiple stakeholders with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and priorities
  • Understand and process changes to production applications and models (hierarchies, translation tables, parameters, data loads, security, reports, etc.)
  • Research complex data and process issues
  • Perform data and process validation during testing and production phases of projects and ongoing work efforts
  • Provides client support throughout testing and production phases of projects and ongoing work efforts
  • Participate simultaneously on multiple work efforts and high priority activities
  • Maximize the use of automated technology to achieve the highest level of quality and efficiency in the support of the financial systems
  • Able to effectively work independently and as part of team to offer and implement solutions to achieve business opportunities
  • Develop thorough understanding of foundational financial systems and work to configure them to support management reporting and accounting processes and methodologies
  • Actively participate in end-to-end financial report development (i.e. gather requirements, design, build, test, implement) for a variety of business needs, including general ledger, management reporting, business assets, supplier invoices, expense reports, projects accounting, and plan/forecast
  • Work to continuously improve production validation and other processes
  • Perform impact analysis on new accounting and regulatory requirements as well as internal change requests to assess impact on new and existing financial systems and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the financial reporting process
  • Utilize technology skills to engineer effective and streamlined processes

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Information Technology, Accounting, or related field)
  • 7+ years of analytical experience in Finance, Business or Related Field preferred
  • Strong financial and/or accounting acumen
  • Proficiency in using data querying, transformation, and analytical tools (e.g. DB2, SQL, Visual Basic, SAS (EG), Tableau, IBM Cognos TM1) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of data mining concepts and approaches
  • Experience dealing with complex and large data sets from multiple sources to support analytical processes
  • Quantitative, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Interest, willingness, and ability to assimilate information quickly and succinctly
  • Experience working with financial system reporting environments
  • Experience working with various ETL tools
  • Hands on experience with database compilation and analysis
