About the Job



Client is in the midst of an Agile transformation and is looking to add an additional Scrum Master to focus on specific initiatives within the organization.  Great opportunity to help this company build their Agile/Scrum practice while being a strong advocate  ensuring  Scrum teams are operating as effectively as possible.

Support and guide multiple Scrum teams.

  • Scrum Master responsibilities include ensuring development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to more junior level Scrum Masters on agile best practices.
  • Accountable for guiding the team in organizing and facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and release planning. As well as ensuring all scrum events are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Ensure user stories are discussed and decomposed to a consumable level that is understood by the development team.
  • Facilitate collaboration for both onsite and offshore teams, resolve conflict and reduce external dependencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Business Management or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 Years proven Scrum Master Experience
  • Knowledgeable in the best practices associated with Scrum and Kanban
  • Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively, with an analytical mindset in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of Agile adoption
  • Passion for evolving and sustaining Agile best practices and quality solution delivery

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow and MS Office application experience preferred
  • Credible understanding of current technologies and domains (web, portal, low code, information security, automation, etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of Change Management
