ComputerPeople is working with a fantastic local teaming partner that has an exclusive opportunity for a Network Engineer. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established digital media solutions organization. This opportunity is located ON-SITE in a suburban Buffalo location. The client realizes that the on-site requirement is a big hurdle to overcome, so they’re doing their best to be flexible with hours and scheduling. Their development team is “jeans and t-shirts” casual.
Candidates should have a thorough understanding of Windows and Linux servers and should be familiar with using applications and components on various Microsoft Windows , Android, and Linux/Unix platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing Network Equipment, Servers and Workstations on a Windows Active Directory network.
- Installing, analyzing, troubleshooting, configuring and maintenance of networked printers, laptops, and mobile devices.
The client will consider recent graduates with a degree in CIS or similar. For experienced candidates with 3+ years of experience, they are willing to accept hands-on experience in lieu of a degree. There is a great deal of flexibility in the required skills for this position.
Ideally we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience in Networking Technologies (Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points, Firewalls, etc.) Cisco preferred, Meraki a plus.
- Additional skills in Virtualization (VMware or similar) and/or O365 are highly preferred.
- Experience working in a Cloud environment and understanding of emerging Cloud technologies a huge plus!
- VMware, Cisco, A+, Net+, Sec+ Certifications a Plus
