About the Job

Our client is transitioning their core enterprise application from .NET MVC to JAVA. 

The position will be a blend of new development, maintenance and support for both legacy .NET applications and new Java applications.   Client will consider developers with .NET or Java that is willing to learn the other language.

• Utilize established development tools, guidelines, and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, XML, HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET

• Design, code, and test new web software applications, web services, APIs, etc.
•  
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement
•  
• Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
•  
• Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
•  
• Create technical specifications and test plans
•  
•  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems with 3+ years’ work experience or minimum 5 years’ work experience in lieu of degree.

• Proficiency in  .NET or Java programming with one or more of the following: ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, HTML, XML, web Services, CSS, and JavaScript
•  
• Proficient in OWASP and/or Secure Coding frameworks and practices
•  
• Proficient in Object oriented analysis, design, and programming
•  
• Proficiency with Visual Studio Server Management Studio, Microsoft .NET framework
•  
• Proven experience with Relational Databases (SQL)
•  
• Experience in database design
