If you are passionate about creating a secure, compliant, and user-friendly digital workplace environment encompassing Microsoft 365 applications, this is the opportunity for you!  We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Lead with expertise in M365 Applications to play a key role in our client’s digital collaboration transformation efforts.

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and optimization of Microsoft 365 tools, with a focus on SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in governance, security, policy development, and driving user adoption to enhance the overall digital workplace experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Governance and Policy Development:

    • Develop and enforce governance policies for Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, to ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies.
  2. Security and Compliance:

    • Collaborate with IT security teams to address security considerations related to Microsoft 365.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.
  3. User Adoption Strategies:

    • Develop and implement strategies to promote the adoption of Microsoft 365 tools across the organization.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance user proficiency.
  4. Configuration and Administration:

    • Oversee the configuration and administration of Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to best practices.
  5. Collaboration with Stakeholders:

    • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and end-users, to understand requirements and gather feedback.
  6. Documentation:

    • Create and maintain documentation for Microsoft 365 configurations, policies, and best practices.
    • Ensure that relevant documentation is accessible to users.
  7. Integration Planning:

    • Plan and oversee the integration of Microsoft 365 tools with existing IT infrastructure.
    • Ensure seamless interoperability with other systems and applications.
  8. User Experience (UX) Design:

    • Focus on creating an optimal user experience within Microsoft 365 applications.
    • Gather feedback from end-users to improve usability.
  9. Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Monitor the performance and usage of Microsoft 365 applications.
    • Generate reports on platform metrics, user adoption, and compliance.
  10. Issue Resolution and Support:

    • Address and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 applications, working closely with IT support teams.
    • Provide support to end-users and troubleshoot problems.

Requirements:

  • This role is Hybrid, must be willing to work onsite at least 1 day/week
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.  Equivalent experience in lieu of BS Degree will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing Microsoft 365, including developing strategies for  SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive  for an enterprise organization.
  • Strong understanding of governance, security, and policy development within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies for user adoption.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications in relevant areas a plus (e.g., MS-300, MS-700).
  • Previous experience in a similar role with a focus on digital workplace management.
  • Familiarity with third-party integrations and solutions that complement Microsoft 365
