About the Company
Our client is a long-standing organization with suburban headquarters in the Buffalo area. They are a highly profitable, employee-centric organization in the midst of exciting changes to modernize technology and process in their IT group. The Auditing department is looking to add a more seasoned IT Auditor to the team to identify potential vulnerabilities, risks and weaknesses in IT systems. They are willing to train the Audit responsibilities provided candidate has the relevant technical background.

About the Job
- Analyze Information Technology systems to identify opportunities to mitigate risks and security breaches.
- Plan, manage and /or assist with IT Systems Audits to assess to ensure compliance with SOX.
- Primary responsibilities include planning, examining, evaluating and reporting on Information Technology processes and procedures throughout the company
- Identify and communicate opportunities to strengthen controls, provide process improvement recommendations and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Work with external auditor for control changes, testing, etc.
- Perform system upgrade audits to ensure appropriate SDLC processes are followed
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of IT audit experience OR 2+ years technology experience working closely with IT Audit, IT Risk & Compliance, Cybersecurity
- Working knowledge of information technology processes and related controls
- Experience working with IT systems and architectures and learning how to improve them
- Excellent communication and analytical skills including attention to detail. Very “process” oriented.
- CISA certification or willingness to obtain CISA.
