About the Job

In this newly created role, you will be part of the Information Technology team with the goal of  becoming the subject matter expert of their EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system from both a process and application support perspective.

*Primary liaison with the EMR vendor with regard to planning system upgrades/changes and general troubleshooting.

*Oversee projects related to the EMR system, ensuring projects are moving along, timelines are being met and stakeholders are being updated as required.

*Work with managerial staff across the organization to improve processes that will leverage the EMR system to the greatest extent.

*Troubleshoot and resolve software errors or escalate to vendor or Infrastructure team as needed

*Provide training to users in system functionality, and process best practices.

*Ensure employee system access is set up correctly based on organizational role

*Will create reports in the system in collaboration with the Data Analyst

Requirements

*2+ years of medical records experience working with an EMR / ECR / EHR system or IT clinical application support

*Good IT skills supporting software applications and troubleshooting software issues

*Basic application administration tasks (setting up security groups, etc.)

*Ability to create reports using system tools

*Project Management skills

*Excellent people skills with a customer service mentality 

*Passion for improving processes 

*Enjoys training, creating documentation and sharing knowledge
