About the role

Reporting to the Department Manager, the Cash Management Associate will primarily be responsible for preparing daily cash position statements, monitoring and accounting for daily treasury transactions, and processing accounts payable invoices within the accounting system. This position requires attention to detail and analytical skills. A basic understanding of financial accounting and general ledger accounts is required.

Work schedule: Hybrid (1-2 days in office, 3-4 days remote)

Core hours: Must be available 8:30 – 5:00 EST. Flexibility to perform some tasks on the Company holidays in which banks are open.


Job Responsibilities

  • Daily company cash position preparation and analysis:
    • Analyze and prepare daily cash statements
    • Reconciliation of disbursements and receipts; resolve discrepancies when necessary
    • Monitoring of daily treasury activities, daily treasury reporting
  • Administrator of Corporate banking operations, including wire transfers, cash disbursements, deposits, and opening new accounts when needed
  • Manage Corporate accounts payable activities within the general ledger system to ensure timeliness of invoice entry, and accuracy and completeness of accounts payable for month-end reporting
  • Process company purchasing card expense reports; other related administration duties
  • Participate in project to accelerate and automate the accounts payable process
  • Work with management to update procedures due to changes in process or accounting requirements
  • Maintain accounting internal control procedures including documentation and testing


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration with at least three years of related experience required; OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, or finance; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Strong critical thinking and organization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (knowledge of formulas, navigation through multiple worksheets)
  • Experience in the use of PDF applications, and additional Microsoft Office software required
  • Self-motivated, and able to work under deadlines with little direct supervision
  • Innovative with a process improvement outlook
  • Effective communicator with various levels of professionals
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with parent / subsidiary company structures a plus
