About the Company

Our client is a nationally recognized provider of personal and commercial insurance.  They are led by an exceptional manager who has served the company for over 20 years.  The team consists of seasoned Data Engineers, Applications Developers and QA professionals.  Due to some growth and a few staff departures, they are looking for a junior to mid-level Applications Engineer to add to the team.

They are open to all time zones but ideally would love to see candidates who are willing to work the core hours of 10-4:00 EST.  They are not able to sponsor visas of any kind for this role.

About the Job

Initiative, independence and responsibility are the core components of this positions.  We’re really looking for someone can collaborate directly and takes in work from business users.  From there, you’ll interpret technical design and requirement specifications and develop code to deliver application functionality, including new products and enhancements to existing applications and products.  You’ll juggle multiple projects, tasks, and support issues.  Above all, the ideal candidate will perform thorough testing to verify the accuracy, security and quality of all software developed.


Must have 2+ years of C#.NET experience and a combination of the following:

  • LINQ, Razor, Blazor, MVC, and Entity Framework
  • HTML, JS, JQuery, and other JS Frameworks
  • CSS, Bootstrap, other UI Frameworks, and responsive design
  • Web Services, JSON
  • SQL Server, T-SQL, ETL, and data analytical skills
  • Git, Azure Devops/TFS
  • Devops concepts including CI and CD
  • Agile work management software (Asana, JIRA, Leankit, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge in OOP concepts, common software design patterns, and software architecture
  • Strong frontend development and UX skills
  • Strong experience in relational database structures and data analysis
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, both on their own or as part of a team
